LIVING SCULPTURE
The living sculpture Pavilion is an exploration of geometry, light, and public interaction through a series of sculptural triangular forms. Conceived as a collection of monolithic yet interconnected volumes, the pavilion transforms a simple gathering space into an immersive architectural experience where movement and discovery become part of the design.
The project is composed of faceted geometric structures derived from folded triangular planes, creating a family of forms that appear both solid and dynamic. Their angular surfaces capture changing patterns of light and shadow throughout the day, while strategic openings and connections between the volumes create framed views, sheltered gathering areas, and pathways that encourage exploration. Individually, each form serves as a sculptural landmark; collectively, they establish a cohesive spatial composition that activates the public realm.
At night, integrated uplighting transforms the pavilion into a glowing urban installation. The illuminated surfaces emphasize the precision of the folded geometry, creating a striking visual presence that draws visitors from a distance while enhancing safety and wayfinding. The interplay between solid mass and lightness gives the structures an almost crystalline quality, allowing them to function simultaneously as architecture, art, and civic infrastructure.
Designed as a flexible public destination, Faceted Nexus Pavilion can accommodate exhibitions, performances, community events, and informal social gatherings. Its modular nature allows the composition to adapt to a variety of sites and scales, from urban plazas and waterfront promenades to cultural districts and public parks. By merging sculptural form with functional public space, the pavilion creates a memorable civic landmark that celebrates geometry, movement, and human connection.
